They come from the First-aid Organizations of the whole world (firemen, civil protection, para-commandos, police force,…). The participating nations at 2009 edition were Belgium, France, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Germany.
Who are the organizers ?
The event is organized by Laurent LOMBART (tecnical part) and Johan DEMANET (non-tecnical part) of the Regional Fire Service of Namur. The support of the « Amicale des Pompiers de Namur » was invaluable to us.
When is it ?
On the second Saturday of October along with the open doors days of the Fire Brigade of Namur (Regional Fire Service). For this 5th edition the 2010 GrimpDay will exceptionnaly be held on Saturday 12th June 2010.
Where ?
Namur is situated in Belgium and is the official capital of the Walloon region (French-speaking area). This Challenge is mainly held at the Citadel of Namur. A preliminary test is generally organized `apart from site'. The parking at the Citadel is easy. The access is free all over the site.
