The 2007 edition

The 2008 edition  

The third GrimpDay edition has been presented !

20 teams had the pleasure of discovering a new course divided into different sections :
After breakfast and a briefing, the teams, without their victim, were able to demonstrate their skills at the Commando Training Centre in Marche-Les-Dames. In this particular area they were able to discover the autonomy on ropes and the vertigo courses. Once completed, they left the domain via the underground bed of a river a hundred meters long. There was darkness, humidity and stones. Several participants tasted the pH of the cold water!
The teams were then transported by boats under the bridge of the Rue du Pont in Namur. A net of ropes and speleologist ladder enabled them to reach the top of the bridge from the boat.
After climbing onto the bridge, they went to the Citadel with a minibus.

They then joined their victim and began a rescue course that lasted about two hours. It included :

• a vertical stretcher descent
• a vertical stretcher lift
• an ascending tyrolean
• an uphill stretcher lift
• a downhill stretcher descent
   

Once it was over, the surprise reached its climax. The Death Ride descent from the Citadel to the centre city impressed most of the participants. Indeed, the figures speak for themselves: drop: 95 meters, length of the rope used: 190 meters, descent angle: 45 ° ........... !
A drink was waiting for the teams at the barracks where the results were announced to reward the best of the best.Smiles, pictures, gifts and a well-deserved meal ended this day forever set in our memories.
